Join us for a 90 min interactive summit where together we will seek to:
- Understand on-the-ground implications for medicines availability and use due to USAID and other bi-lateral funding reductions.
- Share strategies and approaches currently being used by country professionals to address medicine supply gaps.
- Identify non-financial resources required for individuals to be immediately effective in their area of responsibility.
Dr Andrew Brown (Supply chain and pharmaceutical systems consultant) will facilitate this 90-minute interactive summit that will open with brief remarks from Dr Lloyd Matowe (PSA/Manica University), Dr David Katere (TUT South Africa) and Mr Clinton De Souza (PICMA). This will be followed by breakout group discussions centred on the following topics:
1.Pharmaceutical regulation
2.Medicines procurement and availability
3.Supply chain and distribution
4.Local manufacturing
Combined outputs from the breakout sessions will be shared for ongoing use so that together we can better meet challenges locally.
