PATH, in collaboration with Technet-21, are excited to announce our webinar:
“Electronic Immunization Registry implementation in the view of its end-users”.
Thursday, July 8, 2021 - 8pm ICT
This is a session among our series to share experiences and lessons learned from A to Z of the EIR implementation in Vietnam, from the design, development, deployment, and paperless transition of an EIR. In this session, we will explore and evaluate the NIIS from the perspective of immunization staff – the ultimate users of this system.
Systems that suit their intended uses and users don’t just “happen.” They are essentially products of a user-centered development process and a user-centered attitude during the implementation of usable systems – systems that support and engage users, rather than get in the way and hinder them throughout time. Likewise, NIIS have continued evolving to stand the test of time and bear the weight of users’ criticism. PATH worked closely with immunization staff at all levels at piloted localities to identify and focus on these real users and their needs, goals, context of use, abilities, and limitations to drive the development. It has been a decade-long process of growth, adaptation, learning, and overcoming challenges from both the NIIS and the immunization staff to bring about the system that truly serves users not only on their daily tasks but also on the overall national immunization program.
Our presenters include:
Dr. Dang Thi Thanh Huyen - Vice Head, NEPI Office, National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, Vietnam
Dr. Nga Nguyen – Vietnam Country Director, PATH, Vietnam
Mr. Dao Dinh Sang – IDEAL Team Lead, PATH, Vietnam
Feel free to email us at [email protected] any questions prior to the Webinar and we will try our best to address these questions.
