Africa Conference on Healthcare Delivery (AHD Conference) is conceived to promote local participation, innovation, continuous quality improvement and institutionalization of healthcare delivery in the African region, especially in the area of Supply Chain Management of health commodities. AHD conference provides a forum for practitioners/professionals within the region to network, exchange ideas and share experiences for improved performance (“south- to- south collaboration”). In addition, the meeting brings together leading international experts in the field of healthcare delivery to discuss new concepts and provide mentoring for young professionals and students. The pre-conference training workshops, which precede the main conference, are designed to train and build local capacity in Supply Chain Management and Global Health Delivery for professionals and students in key subject areas. The main focus of AHD Conference is to explore and provide an understanding of in-country health supply chain management and its impact on the overall healthcare system in Africa.
