SUMMARY:Supportive Supervision: The Vital Foundations & Enhanced Strategies - Part 1
DESCRIPTION:Join the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Sabin Vaccine Institute’s Boost Community (Boost) for a multi-part workshop series launching Tuesday, June 18, which will explore how data-driven and people-centered programs can increase vaccine uptake. The series will focus on two main areas: Supportive Supervision for health workers and Closing Immunization Gaps through catch-up vaccination strategies, fostering champions, delivering quality services, and addressing hesitancy. \nPlease note that registration is open only for the first two-part Supportive Supervision workshop series. More details regarding the Closing Gaps workshops will be shared soon. \nThe first two-part Supportive Supervision workshop series is intended for national and sub-national immunization supervisors and will delve into the vital foundations of the practice as well as enhanced strategies, including the following topics: observing an immunization session; giving feedback and communication; conducting joint problem-solving; and providing performance support and follow-up. \nThe interactive, virtual (via Zoom) sessions will be led by capacity-strengthening experts and will include several opportunities for participants to engage, such as polls, breakout rooms, chat and more.\nFollowing the first session, participants will be asked to complete a short homework assignment and engage their peers in a Boost learning group. Participants who attend both sessions and complete all homework assignments and post-workshop surveys will receive a certificate of attendance.\nSpace is limited to accommodate audience participation, so consider registering soon! \nRegister here: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZMkf-qvqTkpGtVt38YMhQf863VFmNcGHNFN#/registration\n
