The 2014 Health and Humanitarian Logistics (HHL) Professional Education Certificate series is open for registration. The course is appropriate for those already working in the Health and Humanitarian sectors or those wanting to learn more about them. This year's courses will be held from May 12-17 in Atlanta. The program's new one-week format will allow those traveling from out-of-town to make one trip to Georgia Tech to earn the certificate. Course Scholarships Available A limited number of scholarships are available for applicants from NGOs and developing countries, and the scholarship application deadline is this FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 28th. We will, however, consider applications received beyond the deadline based on availability. For eligibility requirements and to apply online, please visit hhls.scl.gatech.edu. About the HHL Certificate Program The HHL professional education program is designed for practitioners in non-governmental organizations (NGOs), government, industry, and military, who are active participants or interested in humanitarian operations including disaster relief, long term development and public health operations. The goal of the program is to enhance the knowledge and experience of participants on logistics and supply-chain topics related to a broad range of activities including preparing, responding to, and recovery from natural and man-made disasters, as well as, ongoing humanitarian crises due to war, famine, infectious diseases, and chronic health problems. Courses include many interactive components, such as case studies and games, which help professionals to link the challenges and decision-making tradeoffs they face in practice with the systematic approaches, tools, and techniques presented.
