Also, the TechNet21 website has been edited. Lack of contributions for the
"Best Practice" page explains the long delay since the last edition. Now
thanks to a contribution by Søren Spanner, there is a new "Best Practice"
and the "Travel Quiz" was edited as well.

This posting contains one contribution by Raj Kumar
(mailto:[email protected]) from India who shares two checklists for
supportive supervision. They were developed jointly by the Government of
the State of Andhra Pradesh in India and PATH/Children's Vaccine Program.
They will be very useful to Programme managers wishing to develop similar
tools.

We will like to post the two supervisory checklists being used in Andhra
Pradesh immunization Project as part of supportive supervision. The
supervision is intended to improve the quality of program management and
service delivery. The lists are a result of visits made to about
1,541Health centres and 726 immunization sessions in the state. One list is
used for observations at a health centre where the vaccines are stored as
last delivery point. The second list is used for an immunization session.
Please open the attachments in 100% view.
Regards, Raj
The lists can be viewed from the TechNet website ("Country Programme
Documents" page):

The World Health Organization and UNICEF support TechNet21. The TechNet21 e-Forum is a communication/information tool for generation of ideas on how to improve immunization services. It is moderated by Claude Letarte and is hosted in cooperation with the Centre de coopération internationale en santé et développement, Québec, Canada (http://www.ccisd.org)
