The success of operationalizing WHO iterations on Hepatitis B birth dose vaccine which dramatically raised the coverage from 19% in April 2014 to 100% in July and sustained, inspired to implement WHO MDVP / Open vial policy guidelines issued by the Government in the attached Sampaje PHC for field practice. Specific job responsibilities are translated to discrete task responsibilities (3 in 1 - one pager), training workshop conducted, all the sessions were monitored/supervised, hand-holding done. The results are very much gratifying. Expected outcome achieved. Avoidable vaccine loss was prevented viz.140 doses of OPV; 110 doses of DPT; 90 doses of Pentavalent and 65 doses of TT amounting to vaccine cost of Rs 9665/-. Sharing the attached 2 pager with technet community for additional support for scaling-up/replication.
