The Coalition to Strengthen the HPV Immunization Community Launches StopHPV.org

The Coalition to Strengthen the HPV Immunization Community (CHIC) provides a platform dedicated to accelerating progress in HPV vaccine introduction, access, and program optimization in Gavi-eligible countries. HPV vaccines protect against more than 70% of cancer-causing HPV infections and can help prevent millions of cases of cervical cancer. Yet significant barriers to the introduction and coverage of the vaccine remain.

This initiative serves to unite the efforts and resources of four partnering organizations, combining the efforts and expertise of colleagues from:

• IVAC
• Jhpiego
• Centre for Evaluation of Vaccination at the University of Antwerp
• The Vaccine Confidence Project (VCP) at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM)
