User manuals always disappear. I would suggest that manufactures are requested to stick the manuals on the lid/door. Naturally the stickers must be of good quality, like the do's & don'ts on the VESTFROST ILRs merry christmas soren spanner

Great idea. Any reaction from the cold chain equipment manufacturers, please?

Hello, is there anyone out there? Manufacturers, what do you think about Soren Spanner's suggestion that you think about sticking your manuals to the equipment you provide?

Manuals or operating instructions? See Dulas VC65 fridges in Sierra Leone with operator instructions stuck to the lid. I stumbled across these photos today from a 2007 assignment in Andhra Pradesh, India and wanted to append them to this thread to put Soren's comment in context. http://www.technet21.org/components/com_agora/img/members/2193/DSC00721.jpg http://www.technet21.org/components/com_agora/img/members/2193/DSC00720.jpg

Operating instructions of the vaccine refrigerator are useful when these are translated to the local language by health officers of the country. During my cold chain assessment, I found out that many health workers cannot read and understand simple instructions in foreign language. As instructions may be lengthy, I suggest these should be posted on the wall beside the refrigerator. It is important that during support supervision visits of the health officers a follow up briefing or training on these operating instructions be done to ensure that instructions are understood and implemented by the health workers.
