The International Association for Public Health Logisticians (IAPHL) support the professionalization of supply chain managers and others working in the field of public health logistics and commodity security, with particular focus on developing countries. IAPHL provides professional development opportunities to public health logisticians and promotes the use of local and regional expertise, continued learning, and the exchange of ideas and best practices.





Agence de Médecine Préventive (AMP) and the World Health Organization (WHO) have developed a unique project, called LOGIVAC, to set up a regional reference and resource center in sub-Saharan Africa to train and certify supply chain managers. Established in 2011, LOGIVAC is a three-year project funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.


People that Deliver



The People that Deliver (PtD) Initiative is a broad coalition of organizations from around the world that strives to improve the health supply chain workforce in developing countries. The Initiative has more than 80 organizations, including developing country governments, international donors, multilateral agencies, nongovernmental organizations, academic institutions, professional associations, and private companies.

The Procurement and Supply Management (PSM) Toolbox provides a searchable database of PSM tools. Developed in 2007 by the WHO AIDS Medicines and Diagnostics Service (AMDS) and i+solutions, the PSM Toolbox is intended to improve online access to PSM tools developed, published and submitted by AMDS partners.


United Nations Population Fund



For more than 40 years, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) has been supplying contraceptives and reproductive health commodities for the developing world. Through its extensive experience and solid track record, UNFPA is today the largest public sector procurer of these items. Their unique expertise in this area and the significant volume of contraceptives procured annually allows for access to the most favorable international pricing. The Global Programme for Reproductive Health Commodity Security is UNFPA’s main channel for providing technical and financial assistance for family planning. The Fund also facilitates third-party procurement of essential reproductive health commodities.
