Virtual Supportive Supervision - An Innovative Approach for Strengthening Electronic Immunization Registry System Implementation in Vietnam during the COVID-19 Crisis

The “new norm” during the COVID-19 era is and will be featuring many innovative approaches, among which technology plays a significant role in transforming how we work and communicate. As such, it will not go away post-COVID-19 but rather become the standard for “business as usual.” Thus, equipping front-line workers with the skill set, knowledge, and attitude to be ready to apply new technologies is essential. While the National Immunization Information System (NIIS) laid the first groundwork in digitalizing the immunization system, virtual supportive supervision could be the added bonus during the NIIS implementation.
