Use of The National Immunization Information System to Improve Vaccination Coverage: A case Study from Vietnam
The implementation of EIRs in healthcare settings around the world has been shown to improve immunization program performance through data accuracy and timeliness, leading to better planning and evaluation from a project management standpoint.
This case study attempts to evaluate the contribution of EIR among many other factors in the improvement of immunization results in Vietnam, particularly looking at on-time vaccination rates, drop-out rates, and full vaccination coverage. This is particularly important for countries who are weighing the investment on EIR to consider its overall benefits on the immunization program.
