The People that Deliver workshop - Using a Theory of Change and whole of Supply Chain Management labor market approach to catalyze country investments to improve Human Resources: A practical toolkit will take place on 27 November 2018, in Lusaka, Zambia. This is a one-day workshop (9:00 am - 5:00 pm) to be held the day before the Global Health Supply Chain Summit. This is a joint collaboration between the GHSC-PSM project, USAID, and the People that Deliver.

Workshop Title:
Using a Theory of Change and whole of SCM labor market approach to catalyze country investments to improve HR for SCM: A practical toolkit

Background:
The provision of quality health commodities is paramount, if ‘Good Health and Well Being’ (SDG3) is to be obtained for all. Key to reaching this reality is the development of a competent and supported workforce to manage health supply chain systems, particularly in low and middle-income countries. This session will explore how whole of labor market approaches and Theory of Change methodology can help us better understand the health SCM HR environment to prioritize future HR investments in the sector. Further, the session will explore a more simplified approach for countries to assess the status of their own HR systems and plan to improve them.

Objectives:
At the conclusion of this session participants will:
· Define the existing HR for SCM issues facing health supply chains
· Understand the role of whole of labor market approaches and Theory of Change to better understand HR issues within the health SCM sector
· Consider how a detailed understanding of the current HR situation is critical to determine priority interventions and also easy to do
· Apply approaches and lessons learnt to their local country context.
