During this webinar, Liberia will share the lessons they have learned in the process of developing a strategic plan to develop the national health information system. The presenter will describe the process leading to the development of the Liberian HIS strategic plan and give a synopsis of the plan. To aid decision-makers interested in HPV vaccine introduction or scale-up, the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and PATH have conducted the first comprehensive review of HPV vaccine delivery experiences across 46 low- and middle-income countries.

These experiences have helped countries learn valuable lessons about effective methods for garnering parental acceptance and reaching young adolescent girls with the vaccine, at relatively low delivery costs. The lessons learnt from these countries can provide critical information for policymakers and programme planners on how best to prepare, deliver, and sustain HPV vaccines.

Please join us for this interactive webinar, including a question and answer session, to hear about recent findings and lessons learnt.

Rural Health Training Centre Sampaje is a planning unit attached to KVG Medical College for field practice. Since Jan 2013 we are conducting immunization sessions in "Mission Mode". India launched the most ambitious "Mission Indradhanush" on 25th Dec 2014. We conducted a Simulation Study between April and July 2015 and learnt ten new lessons applicable to all the planning units of this country. These study findings we wish to share with "WORLD IMMUNIZATION WEEK".

We are now in the process of inducting "Mission mode" in 2 more planning units linked to our College - Guthigar and Kollamogru from April 2016. "Mission Mode" facilitates capacity building of the service providers through appropriate TOOL and APPROACH, makes them self sustained, they themselves supervise/monitor/modify or fine tune the operation hence independent of external monitors, saves them from additional burden, appreciating the programme implementation on the spot makes the participation jubilant and infuses custodianship.

Please do guide or direct as to how KVG team can contribute to this programme in a larger scale for a wider area.

The BID Learning Network (BLN) invites you to join a webinar entitled “Economies of Scale, Integration & Interoperability in Digital Health”.

This webinar will discuss World Vision’s experiences in different countries and contexts, and the successes and challenges encountered (notably in engagements with governments) as they have worked in the field of digital health. They will specifically discuss the mHealth solutions used by World Vision, namely Motech and CommCare, including the underlying health system/intervention models. They will seek to give the audience an understanding and visualization of how this set of solutions can also embed immunization, including existing immunization data capture for nutrition and community case management applications as well as potential integration with immunization registries.

The course invites you to learn within a sophisticated interactive simulation of a vaccine supply chain. For 9
weeks, you will travel virtually through different levels of the vaccine supply chain. The authentic tasks
that the course offers take place at international arrival, storage, in-country distribution of vaccines, health centre
level, and outreach. These tasks are arranged mainly as group activities. You’ll benefit a lot from this
collaborative learning. It also offers you the tools to easily connect with other participants so you can
discuss and work together as a team. You will be able to work with real VVMs and observe how they
react to different temperature scenarios throughout the course. Within this unique learning
environment, the learning is assessed by self, peer, and expert reviews. There will be no tick the right
answer type tests.

e-Pharmaceutical Cold Chain Management is a learning event aimed at developing an enhanced, robust
mental model of an efficient pharmaceutical cold chain. The learning journey, as we may call it, is
carefully planned to enhance an informative decision-making through :
 Encouraging critical observation related to time-temperature sensitive pharmaceutical products
 Trouble-shooting a problem related to time-temperature sensitive pharmaceutical products,
and
 Creating and evaluating a solution to an actual problem related to an operation of time and
temperature sensitive pharmaceutical products
As you virtually travel with mentors down the length of the supply chain, we encourage you to make
attentive observations at the storage, distribution and health care facilities .
We’ll demonstrate how the theoretical background of pharmaceutical cold chain management is applied
in a variety of storage and health care facilities. Our course is a practical application of experiential
learning theory.
Throughout the course, we shall virtually travel along the different levels of the supply chain.
