Forecasting is a critical supply chain activity that links information on services and commodities from the facility level with program policies and plans at the national level, and is then used to inform higher level decision making on the financing and procurement of commodities. Forecasting is a complex activity in that it involves using hard data to make mathematic calculations, but it also involves using contextual clues to make judgments and predictions. The dual use of both "art and science" in the forecasting process is the main focus of this video. The video combines animated teaching segments with commentary from field experts who share their wisdom, experiences, and advice on this interesting topic.

Launched at the 2016 World Economic Forum in Davos, INFUSE seeks tried and tested innovations that have potential to improve vaccine delivery. It then “infuses” them with capital and expertise to help take them to scale. INFUSE 2018 is calling for proven digital technology innovations that provide more effective methods of identity registration and authentication to accelerate and improve immunisation coverage and delivery.

Requisitions and issue vouchers travel with vaccine or safe-injection supplies to make sure that there is a record of their movement. If you request or send supplies, you must know how to fill out a voucher. If you receive supplies, you must know how to review and approve a voucher. Learn how with this video!
This EPI training video provides knowledge and skills based on WHO guidance (for example, Mid-Level Manager and Immunization in Practice modules) to support routine immunization in the field. Find more at www.immunizationacademy.com.

Join JSI and Sonder Design Collective for a first in a series of mini 30-minute webinars sharing their initial findings from The Vaccine Data Discovery Research in Kenya. This Human-Centered Design study is a joint effort between the two organizations and the Ministry of Health in Kenya, aimed at understanding the challenges around collecting and using data for decision-making in delivering immunization services. In this webinar, the team deep dived into 3 insights around decision-making in the Kenya health system, covering perceptions around who is and is not a decision-maker, the context in which decisions are made, and how relevant information is accessed to inform these decisions. For more information about the work, you can download the initial Kenya findings report: https://bit.ly/kenya-vxdel-report-2

The Ministry of Health in Benin has used an innovative approach that combines modeling with qualitative and quantitative assessment to identify the strategic direction for optimizing the vaccine supply chain.
These guidelines have been implemented for demonstration purposes in the Comé health area with the support of the Agence de Médecine Préventive (AMP) via the LOGIVAC project.
The activities carried out since 2013 have had a positive impact on the performance of the health system, in particular by ensuring better availability of quality vaccines in health facilities.

Supervision of supply chain personnel at the health facility level is a critical element of effective supply chain management. Conducting regular supervision can alert program managers of potential problems within the logistics system, which, once addressed, help strengthen the system and better ensure commodity availability.
This video, produced by the USAID | DELIVER project (http://deliver.jsi.com/dhome) , provides practical advice and tips for management-level staff on how to be an effective, supportive supervisor for supply chain activities.
