Vaccines are not just for kids - they're for life. It's hard to keep track of all the ways that we protect the people that we love and the things that matter most to us. When we were kids, we learned that protection is important at all ages. Now it’s our turn to teach our kids the value of protection. Vaccines are another way that we can protect our loved ones. In fact vaccines do such a good job that its easy to forget how effective and important they are. Thanks to vaccines smallpox has been completely eradicated - and polio has almost gone too. While measles is almost completely gone in North and South America you and your loved ones are still at risk if you live in Europe.

Tara Haelle is a freelance science and multimedia journalist who writes regularly at Forbes, NPR, Scientific American, Slate, Medscape, and other U.S.-based publications. She co-wrote “The Informed Parent: A Science-Based Guide to the First Four Years” with science journalist Emily Willingham, and she blogs about science and parenting at Red Wine & Applesauce. James Vesper reviews the critical aspects of documents, records and record management. Documents like procedures, protocols, methods, and specifications provide instructions so people can perform tasks and make decisions safely, effectively, compliantly, and consistently. Records, such as batch manufacturing records, cleaning logs, and laboratory data sheets and notebooks provide evidence that actions were taken and decisions were (hopefully) made in keeping with procedures and GMP expectations. Reports, another type of documentation, provide specific information on a particular topic (like an investigation or one aspect of product development) in a formal, standardized way.
