How to Create an Equipment Inventory

You will need a contingency plan for when things go wrong with your equipment. An inventory list helps technicians plan repairs, manage spare parts, and see which locations may need new or additional equipment. Learn how to fill out an equipment inventory, step-by-step. This EPI training video provides knowledge and skills based on WHO guidance (for example, Mid-Level Manager and Immunization in Practice modules) to support routine immunization in the field. We\'ve been using 18 of these over the last 8 months for cold room temperature mapping and cold chain mapping studies. One failed in October, but had clearly been in a very damp environment, and the water-tight USB cap had not been able to keep the wetness out indefinitely. Put in some rice to dry out for a few days and did get the data off it up until the point that it had stopped recording, which was good although the display never came back and attempts to re-initialize it have been unsuccessful. Configuration settings in the Libero setup utility are extensive and the interface is good. User can save a configuration (go through the detailed configuration process once) as a template, load it and apply it to loggers sequentially after a quick edit to filename/title on each one -- big time saver. The logging interval settings are more than adequate for CCL applications, and memory is fine for cold room mapping work (approx. 11 days at 1mn intervals), but not ideal for temperature monitoring studies. To record 8 months of data, the sampling interval has to be about 23 minutes (16,000 values worth of memory), which means that only 2 data points are recorded during a 1-hour journey, which could include the period during which vaccines are initially exposed freezing temperatures from poorly conditioned ice-packs. There are always workarounds like downloading the loggers before the packets leave the central store (2 x 133 day segments @ 12 mn interval ) and merging the datasets at the end of the study, but makes for more work unnecessarily. The free downloadable ElproViewer software is alright overall, but doesn\'t provide the user with a way to export numeric data as text CSV, Excel, or anything else. To access dowloaded data as numbers, the professional version of Elproviewer is required but can\'t be upgraded to from within the software package there are no links to buy it anywhere on the manufacturer\'s website. To get raw numeric data to plot and analyze, user has to load the pdf into the free package, find the table data in a tab, copy paste logger data to excel, and then remove all kinds of markers and shorthand codes from the values. If going for Libero-T1\'s the ElproViewer Professional upgrade is a must, and should ideally be bundled with the loggers.
