Greetings,
The recent cuts to COVID-19 funding have left many jurisdictions reeling, facing hard choices and no easy answers. Programs that have been central to pandemic responses and community protection are being reduced or shuttered, even as the need for public health support is increasing. For many, this moment brings a sense of uncertainty, frustration, and deep concern about the future of public health infrastructure. The road ahead may feel heavy, but you are not facing it alone. Across jurisdictions, there is strength in shared experience, in resilience, and in the ongoing commitment to serve. AIRA exists to connect, to listen, and to lift up ideas and approaches as we all navigate what comes next.
March was a busy and productive month for AIRA! To kick off March, AIRA attended HIMSS25 on March 3–6, where we had an excellent opportunity to reconnect with longtime partners and forge new relationships while discussing key initiatives.
Following HIMSS24, from March 10–14, the AIRA Board met in person to reflect and discuss AIRA’s growth, as well as dive into our strategic plan. It was a valuable time to connect with new board members and align on future goals.
