SUMMARY:Advancing Gender-Neutral HPV Vaccination in Asia
DESCRIPTION:If you are attending the IPVS Conference in Bangkok and are interested in the issue of gender-neutral (universal) vaccination in Asia, you are very welcome to join a roundtable event, Advancing Gender-Neutral HPV Vaccination in Asia, which takes place on Thursday 23 October 2025, 15:30–17:00, at the conference centre.\nThe roundtable has been organised by NOMAN is an Island: Race to End HPV and Global Action on Men’s Health (GAMH) and is part of their joint initiative, launched at the World Cancer Congress in 2024, to advance the case for global gender-neutral vaccination (GNV). More information about their work is available here: www.endhpvglobal.org.\nThe event will explore the HPV context in Asia, the gaps in male vaccination, and opportunities for shared learning, regional momentum, advocacy, and pooled resources to advance GNV. While few countries currently vaccinate boys, there is a major opportunity to build regional momentum through shared learning, advocacy and collaboration.\nThe session will feature short inspirational talks from regional and global leaders across civil society on policy and advocacy, followed by a discussion about drivers, barriers, and opportunities for collaboration. Participants will be able to share their thoughts about priorities for a potential regional initiative, before closing with next steps and ways to engage with GAMH/NOMAN’s 2026 plans.\nBecause the roundtable is taking place at the IPVS conference, only registered delegates will be able to attend.\nNOMAN and GAMH hope you will be able to join them at this session to influence priorities for collaboration and to connect with peers, advocates and champions in HPV prevention in the region.\nPlease RSVP here to be sent further information about the event.
