Dear TechNet colleagues,

At the UNICEF global webinar on supply chain digitization, eLMIS, stock visibility, and data use (October 13, 2026), we presented Immunify, an integrated immunization supply chain management information system developed by ISEET for the Iraq Ministry of Health, with support from UNICEF. We are sharing a short overview here for colleagues who could not attend.

The design problem it addresses will be familiar to many of you: cold chain equipment inventory, vaccine stock, temperature monitoring, and workforce data are often managed in separate tools or on paper, which leads to duplicate data entry, inconsistent figures across levels, and periodic data re-collection.

Key design choices:
- One platform with shared master data covering cold chain equipment inventory and maintenance, vaccine supply and stock management (batch and expiry control, wastage, storage capacity), temperature monitoring with RTMD integration, and human resources and training
- Interoperability with DHIS2 for population and administered-dose data; data needed for Thrive360 is available, with reporting integration planned
- Functions mapped to EVM 2.0 criteria (E1–E9, M1–M4), and designed against Gavi Target Software Standards
- Hosted on Ministry of Health infrastructure, with the system owned by the Ministry
- Hierarchy, facilities, products, languages, and workflows set through configuration

The system was piloted in Baghdad Al-Karkh in 2026 and remains in use.

We would welcome the views of colleagues working on eLMIS and cold chain information systems, in particular:
1. How have you approached integrating CCE inventory and stock data in a single system versus linking separate tools?
2. What has worked for keeping RTMD alerts connected to equipment and maintenance records?
3. What should countries prioritize when moving from periodic EVM data collection to continuous system data?

With thanks to UNICEF Iraq, the UNICEF Regional Office and headquarters, and the Ministry of Health teams for their partnership.

Best regards,
Amjad Hiary
