Transitioning Ownership of Electronic LMIS in Zambia
In support of the journey to self-reliance, JSI’s AIDSFree project in Zambia is working with the Ministry of Health (MOH) to fully transition leadership and ownership of the electronic logistics management information system (eLMIS) to the MOH by 2022. Together we have developed a sustainability plan outlining key roles and responsibilities in governance, financing, and capacity for optimal operation of the eLMIS by the MOH. To support financial sustainability and management, we developed a Total Cost of Ownership tool to help the MOH and stakeholders understand current and future eLMIS management, deployment and maintenance costs, and funding commitments and gaps to inform resource mobilization efforts for the eLMIS.
