The Big Catch-up: Case study of immunization activities in Yemen

This case study examines the implementation of the Big Catch-up (BCU) initiative in Yemen, a strategy designed to address significant gaps in immunization coverage exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic and ongoing conflict. The BCU aims to vaccinate children aged 12-59 months who have missed routine doses between 2019 and 2022, restore immunization coverage to 2019 levels, and strengthen routine immunization systems, with a specific focus on zero-dose and under-immunized children.
