Identification des enfants zéro dose et sous-vaccinés au Mali en 2023

Selon l’évaluation rapide du CAPEV sur la situation des enfants zéro dose au Mali, en 2022, environ 294 111 enfants au Mali n’ont pas reçu la première dose de Pentavalent, avec près de 70 % vivant dans des zones de conflit ou rurales. Les communautés difficiles d’accès, comme les nomades et les travailleurs des sites d’orpaillage, abritent 24 % des enfants zéro-dose (EZD). Les zones urbaines comptent moins d’EZD, mais des poches existent dans les quartiers spontanés autour des grandes villes. Les projections pour 2022-2027, basées sur les données de l’IHME et le taux de croissance de la population, visent à réduire de 22 % les EZD d’ici 2029. Les tendances montrent une augmentation des EZD entre 2018 et 2022, nécessitant des actions ciblées, notamment dans les districts de Bla, Fana, et certaines communes de Bamako.

According to Mali Country Learning Hub’s rapid assessment of the zero-dose situation in Mali, in 2022, an estimated 294,111 children in Mali have not received the first dose of the pentavalent vaccine, with nearly 70 percent of zero-dose (ZD) children living in conflict-affected or rural areas. Hard-to-reach communities, such as nomads and workers in artisanal gold mining sites, are home to 24 percent of ZD children. Urban areas have fewer ZD children, but pockets exist in informal settlements around major cities. Projections for 2022-2027, based on IHME data and population growth rates, aim to reduce ZDC by 22 percent by 2029. Trends show an increase in ZDC between 2018 and 2022, requiring targeted actions, particularly in the districts of Bla, Fana, and some communes of Bamako.
