Launch of WHO/UNICEF online course: Integrating gender lens into immunization programming Date & Time

Gender-related barriers continue to affect equitable access to immunization services and outcomes. Addressing these barriers is essential to improving coverage, reaching zero-dose children, and ensuring that no one is left behind.

Join us on 13 October 2026 for the launch webinar of the new self-paced online course, Integrating a Gender Lens into Immunization Programming, developed by WHO, UNICEF, and Gavi, with support from the Global Women's Institute (GWI) at George Washington University and TechNet.

During this webinar, participants will be introduced to the course structure, content, and learning journey. Speakers from WHO, UNICEF, and partner organizations will share technical perspectives, practical experiences, and lessons learned on integrating gender considerations into immunization programmes. The discussion will highlight how gender-responsive approaches can help strengthen immunization systems, improve equity, and reach underserved populations.

The course is now available through WHO Academy and UNICEF Agora. Consisting of three interactive modules, it aims to strengthen the capacity of immunization, health, and development professionals to systematically integrate gender considerations into programme design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. It is open to all learners at no cost.
