You are invited to join the upcoming webinar on Alternative methods for validating the elimination of maternal and neonatal tetanus (MNT) in armed conflict and other access-constrained settings
Despite the significant progress made towards MNTE globally with 49 (83%) of 59 high burden achieving elimination as of Dec 2024, limitation of access to communities and populations that results from armed conflicts and other factors remains a major challenge to adequate implementation of MNTE activities especially, validation surveys. Geographic parts of most of the 10 countries that are yet to achieve MNTE globally, are affected by limitation in access due to armed conflicts and other security-compromising events.
The webinar session aims to acquaint participants with the WHO recommended alternative methods for conducting MNTE validation surveys in armed conflict and other access-constrained settings.
The webinar session will provide participants, including MNTE stakeholders (MoH, WHO, UNICEF and other technical partners) at the different levels the knowledge, skill, and decision-making power on the alternative MNTE validation survey method to deploy based on their specific country context.
A French interpretation will be available for this session.
Date: Wednesday, 14 May 2025
