I’m pleased to share the latest edition of my newsletter on immunization in fragile and conflict-affected settings. In 2025, disease control is not just biological, it is geopolitical. When social systems fracture through unrest or war, immunization collapses quickly, zero-dose pockets expand, and outbreaks follow.
This edition highlights practical levers: negotiated “days of tranquility,” targeted delivery to hard-to-reach areas, and using geospatial intelligence to protect children during instability. I also discussed the implications of the devastating 28 October 2025 attackt in Sudan, Saudi Maternity Hospital. I included graphical illustrations for clarity.
