Service Delivery: Where Immunisation Happens
Service delivery is the backbone of immunisation programmes, it’s where the vaccinator, vaccinee, and vaccine come together. When service delivery works well, health systems can reach every child with safe, timely, and appropriate vaccines.
This hub focuses on the realities of delivering immunisation services in diverse contexts: busy facilities, remote outreach, humanitarian settings, and everything in between. It’s about turning guidance into practice, solving operational bottlenecks, and making sure no child is left behind.
Why This Space Matters
- Reach zero-dose and under-immunised children who are consistently missed by routine services.
- Prevent outbreaks by ensuring high and equitable coverage.
- Overcome system challenges such as workforce shortages, cold chain and logistics gaps, weak management, and competing priorities.
Countries are dealing with multiple antigens, new vaccines, varied target populations, integration with other services, and tight resources. Meeting these demands requires practical solutions, peer support, and learning from what works.
Our Mission
- Fostering open dialogue between practitioners, managers, partners, and policymakers.
- Sharing actionable guidance, tools, and field-tested approaches for planning and delivering services.
- Co-creating solutions that work in real-world contexts, from national strategy to last-mile implementation.
