POST 01040E : PIS/PQS 15 January 2007 _______________________________________ WHO PQS Secretariat is happy to announce the official release of the PQS E06 product specifications and verification protocols which were approved by the PQS steering group meeting held in Geneva, Switzerland at WHO HQ on 9 January 2007. The new product specifications and verification protocols for temperature monitoring devices can be downloaded from the following site: http://www.who.int/immunization_standards/vaccine_quality/pqs_e6_temp_monitoring/en/index.html With the approval of PQS E06 performance specifications and verification protocols on 9 January 2007, the devices listed in the PIS 2000 edition are now subjected to re-evaluation that has to follow new PQS procedures. The deadline for submission of product dossier for prequalification for these PIS listed items is set for 30 September 2007. On this day, the PIS E06 section will be shut down while PQS E06 will become fully functional. From that day on, WHO will only recommend PQS prequalified devices.
