Temperature Monitoring: Keeping a Cold Chain Cold
This webinar series explores the different technologies that are available for active temperature monitoring of your cold chain. Practical experiences from countries using 30-day temperature recorders (30DTR) and remote temperature monitoring devices (RTMD) will provide some best practices and lessons learned from using the different devices. You will also hear about the future of temperature monitoring and what is on the horizon. For information on each webinar, click the link below.
Where are we with temperature monitoring of cold chain?
Data at your fingertips: how to best use your 30DTR data
RTMDs: How to get the most out of your real-time temperature monitoring data
Equipment Monitoring Systems (EMS): The future of interactive cold chain performance monitoring
Connecting the dots: Using CCE temperature monitoring data to improve cold chain systems and maintenance practices
Where are we with temperature monitoring of cold chain?
This first session of webinar focuses on objectives of using temperature monitoring devices and expected outcome from the webinar. The session will discuss the current options of temperature monitoring devices, practices and challenges in temperature monitoring.

Data at your fingertips: how to best use your 30DTR data
In this session, we will review the technical aspects of 30DTR (FridgeTag). And you will learn how to optimize your 30DTR data through using support tools such as the Varo App and Pogo App, which are simple and free apps which collects the data, forwards it to an inbox of your choice, and aggregates it into easy-to-use reports.

RTMDs: How to get the most out of your real-time temperature monitoring data
With the expansion the vaccine cold chain network and infrastructure, the ability to monitor equipment performance, procure appropriate equipment, maintain this equipment is vital to ensure safety of vaccines and related investments. This can be significantly enhanced through the analysis and use of data that is routinely generated from cold chain equipment (CCE) and remote temperature monitoring devices (RTMDs). This session explores key considerations in procurement and deployment of RTMDs, data ownership and access, interoperability as well as utilization of data for decision making. Rich country experiences will be shared to show case how countries are making the best use of their data outlining some challenges faced along the way.

Equipment Monitoring Systems (EMS): The future of interactive cold chain performance monitoring
Immunization programs often encounter technical challenges when adopting current cold chain equipment (CCE) performance monitoring tools. WHO PQS is working towards solving these challenges by establishing a new way of monitoring equipment performance. This interactive session presents the future of equipment monitoring systems (EMS) and how they can become a valuable tool for immunization programs. Participants will also have the chance to provide their feedback on the proposed EMS features in real-time through an interactive survey tool.

Connecting the dots: Using CCE temperature monitoring data to improve cold chain systems and maintenance practices
This concluding sessions presents an overarching vision for using the different temperature monitoring systems to strengthen cold chain monitoring and maintenance practices and looks at making best use of available data. It will discuss actions that can be taken to strengthen cold chain monitoring, and the different levers and mechanisms that can be used to achieve this vision. The session will also explore this goal of strengthening use of data to improve cold chain systems in the context of the Gavi 5.0 strategy and ask participants to weigh in on this vision to help shape its implementation.

Due to ongoing problems with the WHO website, and increased demand caused by the COVID-19 response, I have created a new topic page that lists the key ISC planning tools created by the WHO Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI).
- Cold Chain Equipment Inventory and Gap Analysis Tool - a planning tool for conducting and analysing a cold chain equipment inventory
- Cold Room Temperature Mapping Tool - a tool for mapping temperatures in various types of cold chain equipment and dry stores, available in official United Nations (UN) languages.
- EPI Logistics Forecasting Tool - a planning tool for national programme managers to conduct multi-year needs-forecasting for vaccines, safe injection supplies, storage and transport facilities.
- Immunization Supply Chain Sizing Tool - a planning tool for national programme managers to estimate the size of the required supply chain infrastructure for vaccine storage and transportation at each level and facility.

This new list complements the list of core reference material published by WHO EPI that can be found here.
Hope this is useful.

Hi Shankuk, and Happy New Year.
There is a new step in the EVM2 registration process that was introduced recently due to increased security requirements on the WHO website. In short, if you do NOT have a WHO or PAHO email address, you need to request access. Please send an email requesting access to [email protected]. Once you have been granted access, you can sign in to the EVM2 website in the normal way.
I have already granted you access so you should now be able to create your EVM2 account and request access for any country.
Regards,
Dan
