AIRA members can submit and review information requests—a circulation of questions to and answers from the community.
NEW summaries available!
Recently, responses to two information requests were posted in the AIRA Repository:
- HPV Forecasting: Request from Washington state regarding forecasting settings for HPV at 9 years of age
- Data Analytics: Request from Washington state regarding which programs have informatics/data analytics embedded within the IIS team
Information requests are viewable only by individual members and individuals affiliated with member and partner organizations. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services IIS is looking to understand if and how IIS maintain vaccine lot numbers. When data is received from various systems, EHRs, VTrcKs, etc., it can come in varied formats, such as lot numbers sent with mixed, lower, or uppercase characters.
- Do you normalize lot numbers in your IIS, or do you maintain the data as reported by the sender?
- Is there any reason you do (or might) treat lot numbers such as Char123 differently from CHAR123?
- Have you encountered other systems you interface with (e.g. VTrcKs, EHRs, etc.) where (un)normalized data would create issues with the interface?
- Do you have other information you’d like to offer?

Talk to Experts About Publishing
|
AIRA’s Publication Project Workgroup (PPW) was launched in 2022 to foster the increased publication of peer-reviewed IIS-related articles. As part of this effort, AIRA created a “collegial queries” email address, Cette adresse e-mail est protégée contre les robots spammeurs. Vous devez activer le JavaScript pour la visualiser.. You can send publication-related questions to this email address, and subject matter experts (SMEs) from the PPW will respond. Any publication-related questions are welcome.
Disclaimer The views and opinions expressed by the PPW collegial query SMEs are those of the individuals and do not necessarily reflect official policy or positions of AIRA or the organizations the SMEs represent.
