Hi colleagues, I am looking to copile a photo album of cold chain equipment in use from the launch of EPI in 1974 until the the birth of WHO PQS in 2007. If you have any good examples of early vaccine refrigerators and freezers (or domestics), cold boxes, vaccine carriers, and temperature monitoring devices, please share! And if you could give some explanatory information (year, country, model, etc.) that would be even better :-) Many thanks.

PS If you are interested, the following two articles by John Lloyd give a fascinating insight into the early days in the evolution of the vaccine supply chain.

Here is a photo of one of the early Dulas refrigerators, (around 1984)  the person in the photo is Mnat Berhane an Eritrean who came to work for Dulas to help us find a way to build the PV cells into modules and create an off grid system that would work in Eritrea at a time when an independent power supply was needed, mostly for blood banks but later for vaccines.

This later Dulas refrigerator (1993) was part of a hospital electrification project Dulas installed in Tzada Christian a few miles from Eritrea. It was a complete electrification program with all the equipment, inverters PV controllers etc being made by Dulas.
