POST 00538E : JOINT REPORTING FORM ON VACCINE-PREVENTABLE DISEASES; A REQUEST FOR COMMENTS 11 January 2003
_______________________________________________________________________________
Ãœmit Kartoglu (mailto:[log in to unmask]) from WHO is asking for your
comments on the reporting form on vaccine-preventable diseases before 17
January 2003.
_______________________________________________________________________________
WHO and UNICEF have been working on revising the JOINT REPORTING FORM on
VACCINE-PREVENTABLE DISEASES to be submitted by all countries to WHO HQ and
UNICEF HQ on an annual basis. WHO and UNICEF use this information as a
global monitoring tool for a series of indicators. This information is also
made available on the WHO web site :
http://www.who.int/vaccines-surveillance/DataDown.htm
The current joint reporting form does not include any indicator on cold
chain, which both agencies feel that is important to include. The proposed
indicator is as follows: "Is there a maintenance and replacement plan for
the cold chain?" with options of YES and NO answer and a comment box.
We would like to ask all TechNet21 members to provide comments on the
above-mentioned indicator and suggest alternatives. The indicator(s) can be
either policy/management or system performance related.
Please send your comments and/or suggestions to Olivier Ronveaux
(mailto:[log in to unmask]) and Umit Kartoglu (mailto:[log in to unmask])
before 17 January.
Many thanks for your contribution.
