With a lifesaving malaria vaccine on the horizon, policymakers will need vital information from researchers to plan for its introduction, but all too frequently a gap in communication between the two results in slow decision-making. The PATH Malaria Vaccine Initiative (MVI) helps to bridge the worlds of science and policymaking by developing a cadre of malaria vaccine advocates.  MVI's Malaria Vaccine Advocacy Fellowship trains researchers to be "policy champions" who will help to ensure that when it becomes available, a vaccine will reach the people who need it the most.
