| Contraintes/Limitations | Immunization programmes will preferably obtain target population estimates from the country's national statistical system, with no room for validation and adjustments of the estimates for programme monitoring. Few EPI programmes have the expertise and resources needed to validate and adjust population estimates independently. |

To accurately monitor program performance and progress in reaching under-served population groups, it is critical to have accurate population denominators. (b) Zero dose and under immunised - Detection of inaccuracy in denominators could improve equity by providing a rationale for detecting and including underserved populations. |
