Missed Opportunities for Vaccination (MOV) and Their Impact on Immunization Coverage

Every day, children around the world access our health services. They may be there to receive treatment, get a checkup, or just accompany a caregiver. But too often, they leave without something that is essential for their long-term health: vaccination. These missed opportunities for vaccination, or MOV, are all too frequent. But if we can reduce MOV, we can increase immunization coverage among children who are already accessing health services.
