Reaching zero-dose children requires evidence that can be applied in real programs and policy decisions. A new post on Gavi’s VaccinesWork blog shows how the Zero-Dose Learning Hub is translating implementation research from Bangladesh, Mali, Nigeria, and Uganda into practical tools and insights that support better planning, targeting, and investment.

I am highly interested in this job posting, as it aligns with my professional expertise. Immunization is crucial for safeguarding populations against vaccine-preventable diseases. Given the socioeconomic challenges many countries face and the issues surrounding healthcare access and utilization, it is vital to focus on the zero-dose component. This is based on the understanding that numerous children worldwide have not received any vaccine doses, even in unexpected areas. This situation is tied to cultural values and underscores the need to enhance community-based health education and implement targeted childhood vaccination strategies tailored to each context. With my extensive knowledge and experience in public health, particularly in immunization, and having worked in Mozambique, I believe I can contribute, at least in some measure, to effectively addressing this issue. I would be delighted to share my thoughts on this matter, and perhaps I could contribute to this specific position.
