AIRA - A message from our partner: AAP's Visiting Immunization Expert Initiative

Hello,

This email contains a message from our partners at the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).

The AAP is offering a Visiting Immunization Expert Initiative to support pediatricians, other primary care physicians, and all practice staff in making strong recommendations for Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and pediatric influenza vaccination. This initiative is designed to connect immunization experts to organizations and communities around the country that may not have, or have limited access to, this expertise.

The Visiting Immunization Expert Initiative will provide support for an immunization expert to visit an organization and address immunization-related topics chosen by your organization or institution that best fit your immunization-related needs. Travel expenses and a stipend for the visiting immunization expert are funded by AAP. Applicants are not expected to incur any expenses. Applications are open to AAP chapters, health departments, immunization coalitions, health care systems, and organizations with limited access to this expertise. Note: Priority will be given to applications serving rural and underserved areas. Also, we are recruiting a group of immunization experts to complete immunization education visits by July 31st, 2020. A $1,500 stipend for each visit and travel-related expenses will be funded by AAP. For more information, contact Melissa Ponce at This email address is being protected from spambots.
