JULY 19, 2023

TAKE ACTION

There’s Still Time to Register for AIRA’s Discovery Session on Improving IIS Data Quality

Join us for the next AIRA Discovery Session on Monday, July 24 at 4-5 p.m. ET to hear about how jurisdictions are improving IIS data quality. We’ve had a change in speakers; the webinar will now feature the following presentations:

  • Patient Matching and Data at Rest (DAR) Refresher from Eric Larson and Assiatou Diallo, American Immunization Registry Association (AIRA)
  • Linking Birth Records from Hospitals with Records from Vitals from Diane McLeod and Baskar Krishnamoorthy, Florida Department of Health

There will be time for questions and answers at the end of the webinar.

Once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email which contains links to add the meeting to your calendar.

If you’re unable to attend, this session will be recorded and available in the AIRA repository.

Information Requests

AIRA members can submit and review information requests—a circulation of questions to and answers from the community.

Information requests are viewable only by individual members and individuals affiliated with member and partner organizations. Recent information requests can be found by using the “Information Requests” filter in the AIRA repository. Just log in to view these valuable resources! The New York State Immunization Information System (NYSIIS) team is interested in learning what platforms other IIS use to train their users. NYSIIS currently offers formal user training in the form of recorded Webex webinars, posted on the public-facing NYSDOH website. From the NYSIIS training page on its public site, users can select the specific training they would like to view and are then prompted by a required registration page before the video will buffer and play. This registration page is critical not only because it tracks usage but also because the registration fields are used in IIS user setup. The current platform presents these trainings using a file type known to cause issues, and it can be glitchy when users try to view them. If any jurisdictions are willing to share the platforms they use for training their users, NYSIIS would greatly appreciate it.

The platform must:

  • Allow a training link to be posted to a public-facing website with a streaming option
  • Prompt users with a required registration page before viewing the training
