We are pleased to share with you the 6th IAPHL quarterly supply chain resource review. In this issue, we consulted a number of SCM information repositories, academic, private sector, and SCM experts to select for you the following resources that we hope will inform you, challenge you and keep you thinking about how you can improve your practice and the productivity of the supply chain you work in.
I. Article: A Responsiveness View of logistics and supply chain (Journal of Business Logistics).
This article, Responsiveness View of supply chain management, supports the exploration of how supply chains compete successfully amidst disruption and change to define theoretically distinct dimensions of responsiveness to include Adaptability, Flexibility, Resilience, and Improvisation. These arose questions like, “what specific combinations of responsiveness dimensions can be employed in different situations”?
II. Article: COVID-19 and Supply Chain Management: A Review with Bibliometric (MDPI).
Supply chain management is the hidden engine that drives the economy, and the COVID-19 pandemic has challenged supply chain management worldwide. Reviewing a total of 257 papers published in 2020 and 2021, four thematic clusters were identified, namely the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on supply chains, the improvement of supply chain resilience for viability, technology and innovation for supply chain sustainability, and supply chain risk management in response to COVID-19.
