New Updates to VIEW-hub Vaccine Data Visualization Tool

IVAC is pleased to announce exciting new updates to VIEW-hub, an interactive platform that provides data visualization on vaccine use and impact around the world.

VIEW-hub users can now access global vaccine data either by vaccine or by country, making it easier than ever to quickly find exactly what you need. The VIEW-hub site includes data for nine different vaccines (COVID-19, typhoid conjugate vaccine, PCV, rotavirus, Hib, inactivated polio, HPV, measles-rubella, and MCV-2) and dedicated pages for 194 countries, with information on vaccine introduction, use, access, coverage, and disease burden. Customized datasets and maps can be downloaded from the VIEW-hub site instantly. The site’s newly redesigned navigation allows users to more easily access vaccine-specific maps and resources as well as country pages, which provide a brief overview of each country’s vaccine use and coverage.

Topic pages are a new feature to the site that display data, messaging, and infographics on a variety of vaccine-related topics. For example, the first topic page focuses on resources from IVAC’s Pneumonia and Diarrhea Progress Report, an annual report focusing on progress toward key prevention and treatment indicators for pneumonia and diarrhea deaths in high-burden countries. This new page makes it easy to access global and national data on pneumonia and rotavirus vaccines as well as advocacy messaging, country profiles, and data on other key indicators such as breastfeeding and access to antibiotics. Future topic pages will focus on subjects like the economics of immunization and vaccine equity.

With users from over 120 countries, VIEW-hub is a valuable tool for researchers, public health organizations, and journalists, and the site has been used by leading organizations such as the CDC and cited by The Lancet and The New York Times.
