AIRA is requesting community feedback on the attached document titled Vocabulary Code Set Considerations: If Only It Were Rocket Science. This document provides a general overview of vaccine code sets and also briefly describe how code sets are used in support of multiple and varied IIS functions including electronic data exchange with EHRs and other health information systems; and vaccine ordering and inventory management. The key challenges and issues that impact the implementation and management of vaccine code sets are described, and how those challenges may affect IIS stakeholders. Feedback can be provided by adding comments, as the document is locked down for comments only. Please note this draft will be edited by a professional copy editor, so please ignore any small grammatical or formatting issues.
