Measles Analytics Hub annual meeting strengthens global collaboration on measles modelling
The Measles Analytics Hub (MAH) held its annual meeting from 10–12 June in Jakarta, Indonesia, bringing together experts to advance the use of modelling and analytics in support of measles control and elimination efforts. Established in 2024 and funded by the Gates Foundation, the MAH has grown into a global network of 450 members from 58 countries and is now an integral part of the Measles & Rubella Partnership's operational strategy.
Co-hosted by the WHO Country Office in Indonesia, the meeting showcased regional measles modelling activities from the WHO Western Pacific and South-East Asia regions and provided a forum to share experiences, strengthen collaboration and identify priorities for future work.
A dedicated working group meeting with Indonesia's Ministry of Health, WHO Country Office in Indonesia, WHO WPRO and HQ reviewed progress and discussed modelling analyses to inform Indonesia's national measles elimination strategy and preparations for the Regional Verification Commission (RVC) meeting in September 2026.
The meeting concluded with agreement on next steps, including a WHO three-level debrief and the development of a regional strategy for measles modelling in the Western Pacific Region, reinforcing the role of data-driven analytics in supporting evidence-based immunization policies and accelerating progress towards measles elimination.
