Since 2013, the Solina Centre for International Development and Research (SCIDaR) has supported the six states in Nigeria with the lowest immunization rates to make steady progress (an aggregate 138% improvement in DPT-3 - NICS/MICS by 2023). During this period, the SCIDaR team has collected numerous lessons learned and best practices, which have contributed to this increase in vaccination coverage.

Boost is excited to host a three-part Bright Spots webinar series with the SCIDaR team and Boost Community members to share their key learnings along the three foundational pillars of improving primary health care (PHC), which are critical to the success of the innovation: Health Financing, Capacity Building, and Demand Generation. Please note, the series will take place every other Thursday from February 15 to March 14 at 9:00 AM EST // 2:00 PM GMT. The series will be offered in English only. The webinars follows the intervention arc of providing resources, building capacity, and mobilizing communal demand as the 3 prongs of improving PHC service uptake:

[Feb. 15] Collaborating with Country Governments for Immunization and PHC Optimization: The MoU Financing Model - Introduces the innovative MoU financing model designed to address sustainable funding needs for resource limited settings in achieving critical health goals.

[Feb. 29] Building Capacity of PHC Managers at State and Sub-state Levels: Approach and Lessons - Shares different capacity-building approaches targeted at effective PHC management and crucial quality health care delivery amongst health workers.

[March 14]: Utilizing Community Resources for Driving Immunization and PHC Service Demand - Discusses the demand generation journey for RI and PHC services as well as the different approaches aimed to improve service uptake in the most resistant communities.

We look forward to you joining this Bright Spots Webinar Series!
