How can program implementers turn research into real health improvements? The Bangladesh Learning Hub provides an example.

Through the Gavi-funded Zero-Dose Learning Hub, the team applied knowledge translation (KT) best practices to strengthen immunization services. After conducting implementation research to pinpoint barriers to immunization, the Learning Hub worked with policymakers and frontline workers to integrate research findings into their planning. As a result:

  • An e-screening checklist was piloted to identify zero-dose and under-immunized children
  • Evening immunization sessions were introduced in Dhaka to support working mothers.
  • Zero-dose tracking conversations were embedded into routine immunization meetings.

This is KT in action: moving research from dissemination to impact, strengthening the health system, and streamlining immunization delivery. Learn more: https://tinyurl.com/8j8dffta
