The Gavi Zero-Dose Learning Hub is pleased to share our latest journal article, published in Vaccines X. The article summarizes a recent study that explored the factors of influencing immunization rates in Nigeria, finding significant regional disparities.
The team found that barriers to immunization included socioeconomic conditions, cultural beliefs, and logistical challenges. Additionally, they identified facilitators to immunization, including health literacy, maternal education, and community support.
Understanding regional variations can inform targeted interventions to address the unique needs of different geographies. We hope this study provides insights that others can replicate in their immunization work.
