This info is very relevant for the work around electronic immunization registries (EIRs), given that one of the lessons learned from the implementation of EIRs is that ensuring that they are framed within existing national eHealth strategies is key for sustainability. I paste the info on eHealth profiles as it came from PAHO:

Washington, DC, 14 February 2017 (PAHO/WHO)—The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), through its eHealth Program in the Department of Knowledge Management, Bioethics and Research (KBR), has completed the creation of the eHealth profiles for the countries of the Americas.

Each country profile is available on the Web in both Spanish and English, and will be available for public use and reference. Each profile contains statistics on health and use of information and communication technologies (ICTs). The data included, obtained from the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Global Observatory for eHealth (GOe) and the Web, consist of: official country documents related to eHealth initiatives, country-run projects and programs on eHealth, national laws and bills pertaining to eHealth, and country-specific documents and reports published by PAHO.

The aim of this endeavor is to create a source of eHealth information from specific countries for interested individuals/parties, with all data being presented having been previously vouched for by members of PAHO and Member States. With these profiles all pertinent information will be displayed together, no longer requiring interested parties to have to visit different webpages to obtain data and statistics.

PAHO will continue collaborating with the Member States to maintain the information presented up-to-date and accurate.

The directory of eHealth country profiles is available at:
