I am pleased to share our recent publication evaluating the use of mobile-money payments during Côte d’Ivoire’s October 2023 national polio immunization campaign. The study analyzes the financial implications of shifting from cash to digital disbursement and provides evidence on efficiency gains, reduced leakage, and improved accountability.
Digital payment systems are increasingly used in LMIC immunization programmes, and Côte d’Ivoire’s experience offers valuable lessons for scaling such approaches across campaign and routine settings.
