TechNet-21 is pleased to announce a new webinar series on "Capacity development and professionalization".

Interested in learning more about practical approaches to supporting capacity development and professionalization in health supply chain management to drive immunization and other health outcomes? Technet in partnership with the People that Deliver (PtD), Gavi, WHO, UNICEF, JSI and VillageReach is hosting a six-part webinar series. We will be exploring the critical role of the health supply chain workforce in reaching positive health outcomes. Health programs require health supplies, such as medicines, vaccines, consumables, contraceptives and equipment, which must reach service points and patients through long and complex supply chains. Not only do health supply chains rely on financial and technical inputs, but also on competent, recognized and empowered individuals to ensure that health commodities reach the people who need them and save lives.

Apologies to all for postponing the webinar on EVM and capacity-building.

Webinar title: Using the Effective Vaccine Management (EVM) assessment tool to build ISC capacity at programmatic, facility and individual level

New date: 12 January 2023, at 2pm UTC / 3pm CET.

Speakers: Dan Brigden (WHO), Srihari Dutta (UNICEF), Olamide Folorunso (UNICEF)

Registration link:

https://who.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_69txDz66SDK8t29uXxLFmg

The extra time has given us the opportunity to polish our slides a little more. We have also secured a special guest speaker, Srihari Dutta of UNICEF MENA, who will say a few words on how the EVM tool (both the current version 2 and the original version 1) has been used as a supportive supervision tool.

During the webinar, we will discuss how EVM can be leveraged to:

  • Build ISC capacity at national level
  • Build ISC capacity at facility and individual level

We will also summarise how WHO and UNICEF are working to build EVM capacity at national level and get a summary of EVM activities in different regions in 2023.

If other TechNet members have any thoughts on the above, or wish to share examples of how they have used EVM to build ISC capacity at any level, we would be delighted to hear from you. Feel free to Reply to this disucssion below :-)
