Gender-neutral HPV vaccination is crucial for protecting communities, halting virus transmission, and reducing the stigma associated with HPV-related diseases. The World Federation of Public Health Associations has developed a comprehensive series of six online training sessions tailored to address the unique contexts and challenges of different regions around the world. These sessions are designed to be interactive, encouraging participants to share their experiences and viewpoints. The fourth session in this series will focus on English-speaking Africa, highlighting the cases of Gambia, Liberia, and South Africa. Speakers will discuss if and how those countries have implemented gender-neutral HPV vaccination in their countries and will share their experiences in mobilizing support from governments, national and international partners, and communities. This knowledge exchange aims to empower professionals from other African countries to follow this path and advocate for the implementation of HPV vaccination for both girls and boys in their nations.
