Event Description: |
MOMENTUM Routine Immunization Transformation and Equity is pleased to invite you to a learning exchange webinar on September 19, 2024, at 8:00 am ET (12:00 pm GMT) to discuss the results of a recent landscape report on microplanning for routine immunization, as well as real-world microplanning examples from around the world. Reducing the number of zero-dose and under-immunized children requires accurate, specific data on these populations. Since microplanning is a practice used to systematically define the activities, resources, timing, and location of immunization services, particularly to reach underserved or under-immunized populations, it is widely recognized as a critical tool for improving routine immunization coverage and equity. We will share the results of a landscape analysis that reviewed existing evidence on the development and implementation of microplans for routine immunization and identified strategies for improvement. Presenters will discuss UNICEF's geospatial investment, as well as practical examples of geospatial approaches to routine immunization microplanning. The examples will cover both challenges and lessons learned, and will allow time for discussion and joint problem-solving. The webinar is the fifth in a series of learning exchange webinars on “Identifying Zero-Dose Children.” These webinars provide a deep dive into an approach, methodology, or topic related to estimating and identifying zero-dose children. This series is intended primarily for national and sub-national immunization professionals.
